A relative of the late president of Uzbekistan was arrested in Ukraine for embezzlement
A Ukrainian court decided to arrest a relative of the deceased President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, wanted by Tashkent on suspicion of embezzlement of hundreds of millions of dollars.

According to the publication, on January 20, the Solomensky Court of Kyiv reported that this court ordered the arrest of 33-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan Akbarali Abdullaev.
According to the report, when Abdullaev was detained last week at the Zhulyany airport in Kyiv, they found passports of Uzbekistan and the Dominican Republic on him.
Consideration of the issue of his extradition to Uzbekistan is currently ongoing.
Let us remind you that Abdullaev, who is the nephew of Islam Karimov’s widow Tatyana Karimova, is accused in Tashkent of embezzlement and financial fraud in 2014.
