Five district courts are blocked in Ukraine - there is no one to work there
About 700 judges have completed their five-year terms. The Verkhovna Rada did not consider their reappointment to life sentences, which means that five district courts were left without competent composition.

People's Deputy, Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Politics and Justice Sergei Alekseev reported this to the Kyiv agency UNN.
“The Verkhovna Rada has not considered the issue of appointing them for life, which has led to the fact that 5 district courts of Ukraine do not work at all, because the powers of the entire composition of judges have expired. This, in turn, prevents citizens from exercising their constitutional right to go to court, and, unfortunately, blocks the work of many courts of first instance, where the majority of judges have also run out of powers.
Judges who still have powers simply do not have time to consider cases, since their workload has increased significantly. Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to do this in time, and therefore all these powers according to the Constitution will be transferred to the High Council of Justice from September 30,” he noted.
