The largest tire manufacturer in Ukraine is closing - a plant operating since 1972
Shareholders of the largest tire manufacturer in Ukraine, Rosava (Belaya Tserkov, Kiev region), at a general meeting on April 30, decided to voluntarily liquidate the company, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in the company’s message in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission.
However, no additional information is provided in the message.
The largest tire manufacturer in Ukraine, the Belotserkovsky Tire Plant, which is a private joint-stock company "Rosava", has been operating since 1972.
The main activity of the company is the production of tires. The range includes more than 200 standard sizes of tires for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and agricultural machinery.
Rosava sells about 50% of its products on the Ukrainian market, and exports the remaining 50% to the CIS countries, Europe, and near and far abroad.
“It seems that Rosava could not withstand competition with tire manufacturers from the European Union after the creation of a free trade area with the EU.
The same fate awaits many Ukrainian enterprises in the absence of protection of the domestic market,” ex-Minister of Finance of Ukraine Viktor Suslov comments on the situation on his social network page.
