In Ukraine, an activist was convicted in absentia for throwing a trident from a village council building in the Kharkov region
In Ukraine, a youth activist who heads a pro-Russian organization was suspected in absentia. The suspicion was based on the fact of public desecration of the small state emblem of Ukraine.
This was reported on the website of the Kyiv-controlled Kharkov region prosecutor's office.
“.. an 18-year-old young man was notified in absentia of suspicion for public desecration of the small State Emblem of Ukraine (Part 1 of Article 338 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the message says.
At the end of June 2022 near the house of culture in the village. Petropavlovka, Kupyansky district, a suspect heading a pro-Russian youth organization, and other persons smashed the small State Emblem of Ukraine.
The suspect and another person climbed on a truck crane to the facade of the village council building and began hitting the Ukrainian coat of arms with a hammer.
After this, the suspect “threw parts of the coat of arms onto the ground with particular cynicism, bragging about his actions on camera.”
Let us remind you that currently, according to Zelensky, 33% of the Kharkov region is controlled by Russia. A regional military-civil administration oriented towards the Russian Federation has been created there. The remaining part of the region is controlled by Kiev and battles are taking place there.
