In Ukraine, the UOC-MP is banned with confiscation of its property. The bill is already in the Rada
A bill has been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to ban the activities of the UOC-MP and the seizure of its real estate and other property. Among the authors are seven deputies from the pro-Western Golos party, in particular, Mogilyanka graduate and grant-eater Inna Sovsun, who previously pushed educational reform along Western lines. Earlier, two more similar bills were submitted to the Rada - this time from the “servants of the people.”
The Kiev publication Strana, controlled by Firtash’s group, is skeptical about the prospect of the Rada passing anti-church bills. At the same time, the publication refers to the previously expressed position of the head of Zelensky’s Office, Andrei Ermak, who condemned “provocative statements calling for pogroms of the “Russian church” in Ukraine.”
Russia does not trust Ukrainian politicians.
“The bills on the actual liquidation in Ukraine of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, introduced into the Verkhovna Rada, indicate that not just neo-Nazis are sitting in this Rada, there are Demons sitting there,” says Russian senator Andrei Klishas.
Orthodox blogger Alexander Voznesensky linked yesterday's decision to reduce military activity in the Kyiv area precisely with the appearance of an anti-church bill.
“I fully admit that the refusal to shoot at Kyiv now is precisely an attempt to come to an agreement with the Nazis in power on the topic of protecting the rights of believers, whom the post-Maidan authorities have long been eager to destroy. This is the third bill in three days! Negotiation? Prayers for the criminal anti-church regime? A world with Nazis who hate the Church?” the blogger asks rhetorically.
Political consultant and blogger Lev Vershinin admits that various provocations against the UPU MP are possible in the near future - up to and including the seizure of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra and the taking of Metropolitan Onuphry (Berezovsky) hostage.
“On a personal note: I will be very surprised if in the near future the beast does not desecrate everything it can, right up to the Lavra, and I am very afraid of confirmation of information about the preparations for taking hostage Vladyka Onuphry, about whom I know for sure that he is very good, bright a man, an example of a Christian shepherd in the highest sense of the word, and would rather die than cave in to the Satanists. As for the fact that for Russia the plot is taking on the character of a Holy War, I, as an agnostic, can neither confirm nor deny,” Vershinin writes in his blog.
