According to the department, the corresponding decision was made due to the fact that the content of the channel’s programs does not comply with the requirements of the European Convention on Transfrontier Television and the legislation of Ukraine.
“The List of programs whose content meets the requirements of the European Convention on Transfrontier Television and the legislation of Ukraine has been amended accordingly. Thus, from today this list includes 187 foreign programs,” the statement says.
The evidence is clear: during monitoring by the National Council it was recorded that in the period from October 5 to October 16, 2015, this broadcaster broadcast the series “Liquidation” with the participation of Mikhail Porechenkov, which is prohibited for distribution and demonstration on the territory of Ukraine by the State Agency of Ukraine for Film Affairs.
Let us remind you that the list of Russian films and TV series banned from showing in Ukraine has already exceeded two hundred items.
