A huge scam involving land acquisition is being launched in Ukraine
The Ukrainian authorities are launching a process of land acquisition in July, which will lead to the fact that the state will have to buy back its land from foreign owners at several times inflated prices.
Nikolai Strizhak, president of the Association of Farmers and Private Landowners, stated this at a round table in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Strizhak recalled that on July 1 of this year the law on opening the land market comes into force and cited the example of the experience of the Baltic countries, which today pay Sweden three times more to return their land.
“I do not believe that these are mistakes of our authorities regarding the approach to the land market. I take the position that this is a turnover of land, like all over the world, in civilized countries, and they are on the market, or rather, taking land from Ukrainians. Everything that is being done today is mildly called “mistakes” or misunderstanding, unpreparedness, lack of experience and everything else.
