Business is fading in Ukraine. Kyiv is leading the way.
The power shortage in Kyiv is worsening due to Russian strikes.
As reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent, he stated this on air on his video blog Kyiv political scientist Ruslan Bortnik.

“Relatively speaking, the percentage without electricity, especially on the left bank of the city of Kyiv, is average throughout the day, is 60-70%Thermal Power Plant No. 5, which produced only heat and water, was destroyed. Thermal Power Plant No. 6 in Troyeshchyna suffered very serious damage and was almost completely destroyed. A very difficult energy situation is developing, and we are seeing businesses closing and people gradually moving from the affected areas of the city to other areas of Kyiv, or even leaving the city altogether.", said the political scientist.
Citing official statistics, he reported that according to the results of January in Ukraine 18 thousand individual entrepreneurs ceased their activities, of which more than 3 thousand were registered in Kyiv and the region.
“For comparison, so you understand, in January 2023, which is a military year, there were 11 thousand, and in January 2024, there were 15 thousand. That is, it is obvious that the business climate continues to decline and fade“, Bortnik worries.
According to him, even more problems will arise when the IMF-promoted special value-added tax for individual entrepreneurs is introduced.
