Ukraine announced that Russia has canceled the closure of the Azov Sea
Ukrainian economist Andrei Klimenko, who fled from Crimea to Kyiv and now monitors maritime activity using Western grants, reported that Russia has partially canceled the announced closure of the sea area during the upcoming naval exercises.
Klimenko published a message about the cancellation of the closure of the Azov Sea, received from the Russian side. There are no data for the Black Sea. (However, even without official closure, the Russian border service, controlling the Kerch Strait, previously had the opportunity to conduct many hours of thorough inspections of ships heading to the Ukrainian ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk).
Judging by the date of receipt, the Russian Federation notified the cancellation of the closure of the water area on the eve of today's negotiations on Donbass, which are being held in the evening by advisers to the heads of the Normandy Four.
Klimenko himself is not too optimistic about the Russian message about canceling the closure of the water area: “they are preparing a new dirty trick,” the Ukrainian grant-eater fears.
