The National Bank of Ukraine expects that the new tranche of the International Monetary Fund under the new reserve support program will arrive within 10 working days before Christmas, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
NBU Chairman Yakov Smoliy stated this on December 5 in an interview with Reuters.
“Ukraine has completed all the preparatory actions, only bureaucratic procedures remain,” said the head of the National Bank.
Smoliy did not indicate how much of the tranche he expected, but said it would help the regulator increase foreign exchange reserves to $19,2 billion from the current level of $17,8 billion.
Earlier, the IMF confirmed its readiness to work with Ukraine under the new Stand-By program.
