Kyiv, February 27 (PolitNavigator, Vasily Ablyazimov) – According to official data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, real wages in the country in 2014 decreased by 17,3%, while the drop in the purchasing power of an ordinary citizen is much greater.

The State Statistics Service published data on wages for January 2015. According to their data, the average official salary in Ukraine for employees was 3708 UAH. According to the official NBU exchange rate, this is about 123 US dollars. For comparison, in January 2013 the average salary was 3217 UAH or 402 dollars. The purchasing power of the ordinary citizen of Ukraine has decreased significantly.
At the same time, according to government data, real wages in Ukraine in January 2015 fell by 17,3% compared to January 2014, and in 2013, under the Azarov government, wages did not fall, but increased by 4,6%.
Goskomstat also notes a significant drop in the number of people employed. In 2013 there were about 10 million, now – 8,1 million. Thus, the ratio of workers and pensioners has increased. Now there are already 1,6 pensioners for every worker.
