This was reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent with reference to Polish Radio.
An attempt was made to smuggle illegal pharmaceuticals into Poland at road checkpoints in Medyka and Korczewa.
As Edita Khabovskaya from the Chamber of the Treasury Administration in Ryashev reported, a 65-year-old Latvian citizen tried to bring steroids into Poland.
“15,2 thousand anabolic drugs, in one of the luggage in the car of a Latvian who wanted to cross the border at the checkpoint in Medyka. The man explained that he was taking them for his own needs. The amount of steroids is 15 thousand zlotys,” she added.
In turn, when controlling the Kyiv-Prague regular bus that entered the territory of Poland at the checkpoint in Korcheva, Customs Service employees prevented the smuggling of over 11 thousand packages of medicines. The owner of the medications turned out to be one of the Ukrainian citizens who traveled by this bus.
Khabovskaya reported that this is not the only recent case of preventing the smuggling of pharmaceuticals by employees of the State Treasury Administration in Podkarpackie.
“A week ago, during control of a bus, employees in Korcheva seized contraband 28 thousand packages of drugs to increase potency,” she said.
Let us recall that a few days ago, Ukrainian border guards prevented the smuggling of spare parts for armored vehicles and periscopes, which a Polish citizen wanted to illegally export from the country, claiming that these were tractor parts.
