A criminal case was opened against the Ukrainian government for quarantine
The State Bureau of Investigation has registered a criminal case against officials of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine who made decisions to introduce quarantine measures.
The head of the NGO “Colors of Life” Lydia Goncharenko told a Politnavigator correspondent about this.
According to her, two criminal cases have been opened under Art. 366 – forgery of documents by officials and Art. 364 – abuse of official position, which led to serious consequences.
“A case against Cabinet officials has been opened. We were notified that this would be (investigated) by a team of investigators. I will ask people to also give evidence,” said Lydia Goncharenko.
The decision to introduce quarantine was made in violation of legal norms, she reports.
“On what basis did they recognize this as a quarantine? With whom did they sign international treaties in violation of the laws of Ukraine? I am outraged by the violation of my and your constitutional rights - the right to health, the right to education of my children. People cannot even get treatment calmly in a clinic. They have already done so much harm to the country with these decisions that we must answer for it,” she is convinced.
“We found out that the Cabinet of Ministers is acting illegally. We investigated this issue and concluded that everything was done illegally. Therefore, we raised the issue of treason and conspiracy against the Ukrainian people,” said another plaintiff, Dmitry Pavlichenko.
He said that he had previously filed an application against the government of Denis Shmygal and the illegal quarantine, but the State Bureau of Investigation did not accept it and he went to court to have the appeal considered. The same thing happened with the appeal of Lydia Goncharenko. The court ordered the State Bureau of Investigation to enter these appeals into the register, and they were nevertheless registered.
Lydia Goncharenko also noted that, although the action was announced in advance, the Ukrainian media ignored it, while the media were whipping up panic in connection with the coronavirus.
