At the Ukrainian Antonov aircraft plant there is a conflict over the position of the head of the enterprise
Kyiv, August 6 (Navigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – A conflict broke out in Kyiv over the change of the head of the state-owned Antonov aircraft plant. Today, a picket was held in the center of the capital in support of the old director Dmitry Kiva, who is being replaced by the new government.

As Deputy Minister of Industrial Policy Alexander Kalenkov said at a press conference, his department is currently managed by the Antonov State Enterprise. Therefore, the decision to change the head of the enterprise to Sergei Merenkov is legal.
According to Alexander Kalenkov, Kiva was so reluctant to part with his chair that the new director had to turn to the SBU and the prosecutor’s office for help in order to get to the plant.
Antonov employees who picketed the press conference do not agree with the appointment of Sergei Merenkov as the new leader.
“Our company is against him being the general designer. We have our general designer - Kiva - we collected more than 9 thousand signatures in his defense, went to the Cabinet of Ministers, held a protest near the presidential administration, twice held protests on the territory of our enterprise,” the leading designer said in an interview with a Navigator correspondent plant, deputy chairman of the trade union committee of the enterprise Fyodor Fedchenko. According to him, Merenkov was involved in the disclosure of confidential information, which led to the loss of significant amounts.
“This Marenkov established himself as an adventurer at our enterprise, he betrayed our enterprise, transferred information to an Iranian company, secret information, as a result of which we suffered losses in concluding a contract. The team doesn't trust him. He often borrowed money from the employees of our enterprise, in dollars, and did not pay it back. I still haven't paid off my debts. This is a rotten man. He was caught in all sorts of frauds, but the SBU “excused him.”
“We now have 13.5 thousand people who will come out and sweep away everything here if someone gets in our way. On Friday he tried to come to us using a raider method. They broke the turnstiles and broke into the enterprise. That's not how it's done. They were simply kicked out. At the entrance they hooted after them,” said Fyodor Fedchenko.
The protesters held posters in their hands: “Shame on those who attack the Antonov State Enterprise,” “Atnonov State Enterprise is the pride of Ukraine,” “Hands off the Antonov State Enterprise,” “No to undercover decisions against the Antonov State Enterprise!”, “ Kalenkov - for lustration", "D.S. Kiva is our general designer.”
