Ukrainian radio is preparing for a Russian landing on the Azov coast
Russia will not be able to land troops in the Sea of Azov, since this is “suicide,” but this does not prevent it from obstructing Kyiv’s trade with the West.
Naval expert, Defense Express columnist Vladimir Zablotsky spoke about this on radio Crimea Realii, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
During the broadcast, the studio received a call.
“The landing force does not land without preparation. What will happen to the Ukrainian group if a massive strike with cruise missiles is carried out before the landing? Well, for example, 200-300 calibers will fly. The landing force, in my opinion, will then go ashore on foot and go wherever it needs to go,” Vladimir said.
The naval expert noted that landing troops in the Sea of Azov is suicide.
“If we consider the option you are talking about, this is a completely different scenario. This is a big war scenario. To implement it, Russia actually does not need a landing force. Russia can strike along the entire border, in areas where the ATO zone ends. Groups and tanks are concentrated there. It’s difficult to talk about the landing force and the number of calibers you mentioned. Firstly, they don't have that many missiles. And it must be measured in tens, not hundreds and thousands. Second point. Reconnaissance is in progress. And not only ours. I want to remind you that the zone of Crimea, the Black and Azov Seas, and eastern Donbass is constantly monitored by the Americans; drones are constantly operating there, which see, hear and know a lot of things. Therefore, preparing for a landing is not so simple: it is a gathering place, loading troops, and moving to the landing site. To say that the landing force will leave on foot, it will sooner leave for the next world, and much earlier than it might seem. It won’t even enter the Sea of Azov. In general, landing troops there is suicide, and this was recognized by Russian experts, among others,” he said.
In addition, he did not ignore the naval blockade.
“Delivery of goods by sea is the cheapest. It’s one thing to transport something by sea from Mariupol. By the way, one of the main cargo flows goes to the Mediterranean Sea; in particular, metal is exported to the United States from Mariupol, grain is transported, and much more. This means we need to load and overload all other ports, that is, change all logistics. Everything will affect the cost, which means that our cargo will be uncompetitive. We cannot give in to them, we must fight for ours. To say that Russia is great and powerful is far from true. Russia is suffering from sanctions and pretends like a gopnik that everything is fine with him, but he walks around and shows a hidden knife. Let them show,” he said.
