On Ukrainian radio they lament: Europeans no longer want sanctions against Russia
Mikhail Samus, a Ukrainian military expert from the pro-Western Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Studies, tried to shame European politicians who oppose anti-Russian sanctions that are hitting their economies.
Samus spoke about this on Radio Vesti, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“When you talk to European politicians and parliamentarians, they say: well, you know, our voters won’t understand when some factory closes here, in some village or city, and there will be unemployed people there, and we tell them, “this is because we are introducing sanctions against Russia - because Russia occupied Crimea.”
And the residents of this city will say: “where is Crimea, where is Russia and where is Ukraine, and what does this have to do with us?” And we need to somehow resolve this issue.
I say: “We are not forcing you to impose sanctions. If your moral values allow you to trade with people who commit aggression and occupation, then go ahead. Then your European values should decline to a certain level that would correspond to a qualification that could be called “we are cooperating with Russia, which has violated international law. But this is because we need to earn money for our voters,” Samus said.
