On Ukrainian TV they are getting rich with ideas about how Crimea will be “wrested” from Russia after Donbass
Kiev plans to raise the issue of the “return” of Crimea immediately after the resolution of the conflict in Donbass. Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik said this on UkrLife, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, the political scientist has already built a scheme according to which Kyiv can begin a smooth “squeeze” of the peninsula.

“Without resolving the Donbass issue, we will never be able to begin resolving the Crimea issue. Therefore, it is very important for us today to resolve the Donbass issue in order to begin a serious conversation about the future of Crimea and the restoration of Ukraine in Crimea.
There are a huge number of examples in history when such territories are managed jointly. First of all, we need to start the conversation with the fact that we want to receive an instrument for the protection of human rights in Crimea. Or your Commissioner for Human Rights, protection of the rights of Ukrainians, Crimean Tatars, and pro-Ukrainian citizens. Then various schemes are possible in which joint management of these territories is ensured. Some have supervisory functions, others have executive functions over these territories. Or the territories are transferred for management under a UN mandate... Because today what we are proposing regarding Crimea is its abandonment,” Bortnik said.
