Ukrainian TV is censoring TV series, cutting out Soviet symbols and episodes featuring unwanted actors.
On Ukrainian TV, not only Soviet films are censored, but also modern Ukrainian and Russian TV series, “cleaning out” entire episodes with prohibited communist symbols and actors disliked by Kyiv.

Ukrainian TV viewers report this on social networks.
“I watched one of my favorite TV series “Matchmakers” yesterday. Do you remember the season that was filmed in Crimea? There the events unfold in a hotel house decorated in the style of the USSR. So I watched it yesterday and couldn’t understand what kind of blind spots flash on the screen from time to time. And this turns out to be 1+1, so we hide Soviet flags and other symbols of the Soviet Union. And I asked myself, what kind of fucking insanity do you have to go to in order to hide some flags in “Matchmakers,” the kindest film!” user Antonina Pavlyuk is indignant on her social network page.
“That is, scenes of violence, explicit porn, alcohol advertising - all this is allowed to be shown, but some kind of red flag, apparently, carries a terrible threat... Our censorship has become so censorship that no censorship can stand,” she sums up.
Ukrainian TV viewers also report another fact of censorship.
“On 1+1, relatively recently they aired the series “The Life and Adventures of Mishka Jap.” So... all the scenes with Gaft were cut out. And in the film he played the authority Mendel Gersh. Isn’t it insanity?!”, Internet user Oksana Shchepkina is indignant.
