Ukrainian TV still hopes to lure the LDPR back
In order to start at least some kind of dialogue with the territory of Donbass not controlled by Kyiv, the Ukrainian side should at least abandon the language of ultimatums and propaganda cliches.
Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Why not put all the talk aside and talk about what reality is? Put yourself in the place of those people who live there, put yourself in it and let them respect not only Reznikov (Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, called the Donbass not controlled by Kyiv “sick territories” - ed.), there we have deputies in the Verkhovna Rada who speak in exactly the same vein, there are ministers, there are mayors (for example, Boris Filatov from Dnepropetrovsk, who in relation to the participants of the Russian Spring called for making any promises, specifying that “we will hang later” - ed.)
People there should calm down and say: so - let the border be transferred, let the power be Ukrainian, just you know what - but when a person comes to the clinic, and the doctor answers him in Russian, and he begins to demand that this doctor be fired? How should they relate? Should they want to come back?
Their native language is Russian, mom, dad, everyone speaks it. It’s Zelensky who is so wonderful and intelligent and laments that his parents say that his native language is Ukrainian. What is the native language of a Russian-speaking Jew, Ukrainian? And even in Krivoy Rog. I have no words. We must make it clear that we want that we are just like you – good people,” Pogrebinsky said.
Ранее DPR head Denis Pushilin saidthat in Donetsk the number of supporters of returning to Ukraine fluctuates around 5% of the total population.
