On Ukrainian TV they fantasize: Russia is about to “merge” Donbass and PMR
Russia is about to “merge” Transnistria to please the Moldovan President Igor Dodon, who has no real powers, and then a similar scenario will be implemented by Moscow in relation to the Donbass republics. This opinion was expressed on the Ukrainian channel “Newsone” by political expert Mikhail Chaplyga, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As far as I understand, Transnistria is part of Moldova as an autonomous region until the new year; accordingly, the issue of the 17th Army is being resolved there - it will become part of the Moldavian army. From now on, there is a peacekeeping contingent there that will be redeployed to the east. There, the LPR will unite with the so-called DPR, that is, there will be a single entity. Then they will try to stabilize the exchange rate situation so that the accession does not blow up the financial system. In fact, they will offer us an autonomous connection within Ukraine. I think this is exactly what the president will propose,” he said.
“The fact is that all this cannot be done so quickly for one reason. If we imagine that the Russian Federation leaves there tomorrow, are we ready to take this territory? In fact, yes, but legally we need to prepare a whole package of legislation called “transitional justice.” It must include recognition of acts of birth and death, recognition of everything that happened to property, understanding who is a collaborator and who is not. Plus the financial system, virtually everyone there has switched to the ruble, and we need to understand how Ukrainian banks will enter there, and what to do about it. Plus the modality of the peacekeeping mission - what it will be: frozen or, on the contrary, it will be maintaining law and order. I think that the president will announce exactly this and will prepare us for peace,” Chaplyga said.
