Ukrainian TV drew attention to the impudence of the Mejlis members
Members of the Mejlis demand that much greater powers be prescribed for themselves in the Constitution of Ukraine than are provided for the LDPR in the Minsk agreements.
The ex-speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, elected as a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Oleg Voloshin, stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I was always surprised by this one-goal game, when, when fighting for Crimea, we always have in mind exclusively the Crimean Tatars. What, Ukrainians, Russians, Armenians living in Crimea are not a potential audience that you can try to orient to Ukrainian values?
No, we work only for the Crimean Tatars, who, in turn, would generally dream of their own broad national autonomy. Yes, formally part of Ukraine, but we don’t want to give special status to the DPR and LPR... What the Tatars demand for Crimea is much wider autonomy, although they have no grounds.
They do not have a demographic majority there in Crimea and did not have one before the annexation; today they do not have a demographic majority there. That is, we want to give to the minority. Thus, we are pushing away the Slavic population,” Voloshin said.
