Ukrainian TV accused Poroshenko of seizing Donbass
The Ukrainian government is doing everything to seize the territories of the unrecognized republics of Donbass. Political scientist Nikolai Spiridonov said this on air at UkrLife.
According to him, Ukraine’s food, commodity, and now energy blockade only legitimizes the republics and the Russian presence in Donbass.

“In recent months, Ukraine has been very sharply moving away from the return of these territories. Starting with the blockade of Donbass, the response to the blockade was the nationalization of the property of Ukrainian oligarchs. Then Russia began to more actively recognize separatists’ passports. Now that Ukraine stops supplying electricity, we will accordingly legalize Russia’s presence there. Accordingly, Russia, under the guise of a humanitarian mission, enters there even more closely. Therefore, despite the fact that government officials say that Ukraine is united, Donbass is Ukraine, as a result we are doing literally everything to seize these territories,” Spiridonov said.
