On Ukrainian TV they propose to confiscate the shipyard from Novinsky
The Ukrainian government was supposed to nationalize the country's largest shipyard, the Black Sea Shipyard, which now belongs to the oligarch and Rada deputy Vadim Novinsky, and in the Soviet years built aircraft carriers.
Ukrainian nationalist Dmitry Snegirev, who fled Lugansk and now appears on Ukrainian television channels as a “military expert,” stated this on Channel 4, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are claims against Novinsky - the latter earned, it seems, a billion dollars. This is despite the fact that Great Britain gives us a loan to build new shipyards, and Novinsky owns shipyards in the city of Nikolaev. Weird, right?
It would seem that the first step we should take is to nationalize the shipyards that belong to Novinsky, and not Motor Sich.
And this billion dollars received from Great Britain will be used to build a fleet at those shipyards that will go to the state,” Snegirev said.
Novinsky, a business partner of Rinat Akhmetov, is a former citizen of Russia, received Ukrainian citizenship during the time of Viktor Yanukovych and was elected to the Verkhovna Rada from Sevastopol. In 2014, he refused to support the Russian Spring, preferring to do business in Ukraine.
