After everything that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have done in Donbass, after the war it will be much easier for Ukraine to come to an agreement with Russia than with the rebel regions.

The famous Ukrainian composer Vladimir Bystryakov stated this on the air of the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Crimea is such a difficult moment that comes down to this concept: who should I give preference to, the people who live there and express their opinions, or me, who lives in Kyiv and advises them how to live? This is the same as going to my neighbor and saying: “I don’t like the way your pictures hang, and your wife has a snub nose.” And I will begin to dictate to him how to live. The same. A referendum was held in Crimea - that’s it. You may agree, you may not, but these are people who made their choice. And it doesn’t matter to me who it belongs to in this case, I think about the people,” Bystryakov said.

Moving on to the topic of Donbass, the presenter asked a question about how to restore relations with its residents after peace.

“You know, it’s easier to come to an agreement with Russia than with the residents of Donbass or Luhansk region. When I was there and saw how they suffered from our fighters there, and how much it was imprinted in their genetic memory, and whether they could forgive those people who came to “liberate” them - it would be difficult. Now they have a negative attitude,” said the composer.

“It depends on the authorities - a Ukrainian and a Ukrainian will always find a common language, regardless of who speaks Russian and who speaks Ukrainian,” the presenter noted.

“The fact is that there are villages there that speak Russian, there are villages that speak Ukrainian - I’ve traveled a lot, but there is hatred for what was done to them. They were robbed - everything that could be taken was taken from there. People were killed there, people were destroyed there. How far can they forget it,” Bystryakov explained.
