On Ukrainian TV they called for an amnesty for the LDPR
Vladimir Zelensky, who won the Ukrainian presidential elections, is not yet ready to implement the Minsk agreements.
Former Minister of Economy of Ukraine Viktor Suslov stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I have not heard an important statement from Zelensky about his readiness to do everything possible to implement the Minsk agreements. If he had said so, and if Ukraine had now adopted a law on amnesty for those separatists who did not commit direct, obvious criminal crimes, then the problem with passports in Donbass would not be so acute now,” Suslov noted.
He also said that Russian passports are not imposed on residents of the LDPR.
“They submit documents themselves, write applications. Why do they do this? They are afraid that if there is no amnesty, and Donbass goes to Ukraine, then they will all end up in prison. Therefore, they stock up on passports so that in such a situation they can take them and go to Russia,” the ex-minister added.
