According to him, if the necessary laws are not adopted and agreed upon with the LDPR, then not only Russia, but also “Western partners” will accuse Ukraine of sabotaging the “Minsk agreements.”
“In accordance with the Minsk agreements, two weeks after the ceasefire comes, we must begin a political process that provides for the adoption of a new Constitution of Ukraine, agreed upon with the LPR/DPR, and there will be someone to coordinate with, because we have already We will negotiate on the deployment of peacekeepers there. We must pass a number of laws, including on elections in these territories, having agreed with the LPR/DPR, we will have to pass laws on amnesty, on the special status of these territories, self-government, and so on.
That is, perhaps a truce will be established, but a political process will begin that will make it possible to accuse Ukraine of non-compliance with the “Minsk agreements” while at the same time Russia has full control over the occupied territories...
There will be a very strong foreign policy loss, because according to the “Minsk agreements” scheme, we will have to very quickly adopt laws and the Constitution, and so on, but this will not happen. And this will give everyone, not just Russia, grounds to openly declare that Ukraine is violating,” Yaremenko said.
