If the Verkhovna Rada decides to sever diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation, this will further aggravate the situation in Ukraine and bury any hopes for the return of Donbass to a single country.
Ukrainian human rights activist Vladimir Chemeris stated this on the NewsOne TV channel.

“If we really want to tear away Donbass even more, to continue the situation or to aggravate what is now happening on the demarcation line, then, of course, then we can break off diplomatic relations. If we, after all, want to return Donbass and end the war, then under no circumstances should we do this,” he said, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
