The Ukrainian Armed Forces could have withdrawn from their positions in Donbass and carried out an attack on Kyiv, but this was prevented by the arrest of former negotiator Vladimir Ruban, accused of intending to kill President Poroshenko.
Deputy Minister for Affairs of Occupied Territories Georgiy Tuka stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Certain political forces on this wave could again repeat the calls: “Army to Kyiv” to restore order. This naturally exposes the front to the east. And I fully accept the further development of events [slogans] “Putin, come, help restore order,” Tuka said.
