There was a squabble on Ukrainian TV over the situation in the Sea of Azov
On channel 112, Ukrainian politicians quarreled over the situation in the Sea of Azov, where Russia has tightened border controls after the seizure of the Crimean seiner Nord, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“To my great regret, the Ukrainian government is unable to protect our fishermen. Private individuals suffer - fishermen who are detained, and losses from a day of delay amount to 15 thousand dollars. But the main thing for us is propaganda, to find an enemy, instead of protecting the human and economic interests of our fishermen! That is, the question of a person is secondary to the question of PR of Petro Poroshenko!” – said deputy Nestor Shufrich.
“Nestor, what should the current government do to protect the personal private interests of fishermen? Tell! No need to talk about boats, we will appoint you tomorrow and you will work, speak up! You’re doing PR, saying we can’t, but you don’t know,” Deputy Minister for Affairs of the so-called “occupied territories” Yuriy Grymchak answered his opponent.
“I will do everything in a democratic, legal, constitutional way to remove Poroshenko from power...” Shufrich began.
“I’m wondering, I’m the government, I can’t. Tell me, how can I protect the fishermen?” - the official interrupted him.
"First. It was impossible to lead to such a situation. Second. This situation has arisen - take responsibility, remember that you are responsible for people, and not for your own ratings, and start not shaking the air with speeches on television, but start talking to the Russian authorities. With those who today prevent our fishermen from earning a normal living. There are two ways to resolve it - we have already tried to fight, and if it doesn’t work out, we haven’t come up with another way. We need to negotiate,” explained Shufrich.
"I understand. As soon as you come to power, the first thing you will do is surrender,” retorted Yuriy Grymchak.
Как PolitNavigator previously reported, The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Affairs, Anna Gopko, called on Kyiv to appeal to NATO with a demand to detain Russian ships in the Bosporus Strait in response to inspections of Ukrainian ships in the Sea of Azov.
