This forecast was voiced by Ukrainian philosopher and political scientist Sergei Datsyuk on the UkrLife channel. According to him, the actions of the central government lead to an increase in protest sentiments and the strengthening of regional elites.
“After this there is an explosion of specific protest activity, in fact Petliurism, to put it simply. This leads to bad consequences - usually after this the country splits and Russia and the Poles take advantage of this situation. This is an inevitable consequence... Now we may have not one dictatorship, but many such atamans, ataman dictatorships, that is, Petliurism. Petliurism is also a dictatorial regime, only not at the expense of one dictator, but at the expense of the atamans. Here, in Ukraine, the struggle of the chieftains begins. Somewhere these are oligarchs, somewhere they are criminals, somewhere they are criminals in power... This is the regionalization of dictatorship. If this trend continues, Ukraine has no future, it will simply disintegrate,” Datsyuk said.
