The minister said that today he met with the British Ambassador to Ukraine Judith Gough, with whom they discussed the prospects for further bilateral cooperation in the defense sector for the second half of 2018.

“During the meeting, a new special adviser from the UK on defense issues was introduced - Ms Linda Smith, who will provide professional advice on reforming the Ukrainian defense department, on the implementation of project management, defense and budget planning and anti-corruption policy,” he said.

Poltorak thanked former British adviser Phil Jones “for the effective cooperation and efforts he put into defense reform.”
