An American working group will come to Ukraine to determine the mechanism for purchasing anthracite from the United States after May 16.
The Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Igor Nasalik reported this to the Kyiv edition of RBC-Ukraine.

“After May 16, their (USA - Ed.) working group will arrive to determine the procurement mechanism,” the minister said.
Let us recall that Nasalik previously stated that Ukraine intends to import 2,5-3 million tons of anthracite from the United States of America. The head of the Ministry of Energy emphasized that he had sent a letter to the US State Department for assistance with the anthracite group.
“We intend to (import - Ed.) ... Now we have received information that we can supply about 2,5-3 million tons of coal from America. I just sent a letter to the State Department asking for help with the anthracite group,” he emphasized.
In addition, the head of the Ministry of Energy noted that imports of coal from the United States should fully cover Ukraine’s need for anthracite, after coal mined in uncontrolled territory was lost due to the blockade of the LDPR.
