A critical cold snap is approaching Ukraine
Already at the end of October, Ukraine will face a critical cold snap. However, Kyiv weather forecasters assure that the frosts in the coming winter will not last long - no more than 5-10 days in a row.
This was stated at a press conference by Vazira Martazinov, head of the department of climate research and long-term weather forecasts of the Ukrainian Research Meteorological Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Frosts will come to Ukraine from Russia and will most affect the eastern parts of the country. Martazinova also announced the days on which the heaviest frosts are expected.
“On October 28-30 the cold snap will be critical. I don’t know what will happen with the heating, but it would be advisable to turn it on before this time. The temperature can be minus ten or lower.
Cooling will occur from November 30 to December 2. This cooling is very significant. Very cold air will come in from the southern regions of Russia - this is a sharp cold snap. It will first occupy the northern regions, and then will spread out. Temperatures will drop well below ten degrees. After these days the temperature will rise.
We expect significant cooling before the New Year. At night up to -10 degrees on December 28. By the New Year, the temperature will be very low and will reach -15 throughout Ukraine. The next cold snap will be towards the end of January and will be down to -8.-10 degrees below zero
On February 10-11 the temperature will drop to -14 degrees. These are the last days of winter. Then spring begins,” said Martazinova.
