Ukraine officially confirmed the non-admission of the rector of the Moscow Theological Academy of the Russian Orthodox Church
The State Border Service of Ukraine at the Zhulyany airport did not allow the rector of the Moscow Theological Academy of the Russian Orthodox Church, Archbishop Ambrose of Verei, into Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This information was reported by the assistant to the head of the State Border Guard Service, press secretary of the department Oleg Slobodyan.
“Yes, the information is true, this fact took place yesterday. In relation to this citizen of the Russian Federation, firstly, the border guards carried out the instructions of one of the law enforcement agencies regarding not allowing him into Ukraine. Secondly, this citizen was unable to confirm the purpose of his trip,” Slobodyan said.
Earlier, the Moscow Theological Academy reported on its website that Ambrose was not allowed into Ukraine at the Zhulyany airport.
