75 thousand tons of American coal arrived in Ukraine for Akhmetov’s power plants
The second ship with 75 thousand tons of “G” grade coal for the DTEK energy holding owned by Rinat Akhmetov arrived from the USA to Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The port of Chernomorsk received a bulk carrier with 75 thousand tons of grade G coal from the USA. Coal will be sent to DTEK thermal power plants to replenish warehouse stocks. Thanks to fuel reserves, the stations will be able to operate with increased load, delivering the necessary power to the Ukrainian energy system during the heating season,” the statement says.
This fuel is intended for Ladyzhinskaya and Zaporozhye thermal power plants.
“Currently, there are 79 and 80 thousand tons of coal at the stations, respectively,” DTEK clarified.
