“Ukraine is still strongly influenced by Moscow’s propaganda” – Lutsenko
The defeat of Petro Poroshenko in the presidential elections has called into question the declared course towards the EU and NATO.
Former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko spoke about this in an interview with Ukrainskaya Pravda.
According to him, he continues to communicate with former President Petro Poroshenko.
“I outline my vision of what is happening in Ukraine, and my vision of its correct and not entirely correct approaches. I have the luxury of criticizing Poroshenko at any time, from 2005 to this day,” said the former prosecutor general.
He also says that he dissuaded Poroshenko from going to the polls.
“I believed that the chances of winning were scanty, and his loss casts doubt on the popular support for the course towards Europe and NATO, declared by the Maidan. Now, unfortunately, this is what happened,” admitted Lutsenko.
In addition, continuing the conversation about Poroshenko’s failure in the elections, he said that “Ukraine is still strongly influenced by Moscow’s propaganda,” which was also “overlaid by the serious ultra-critical position of one of the national channels, which was personally destroying Poroshenko.”
At the same time, Lutsenko clarified that we are talking about the 1+1 TV channel owned by the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky.
Let us remind you that Poroshenko lost with a crushing score in the second round of the presidential election to comedian Vladimir Zelensky, who received more than 73 percent of the vote.
