In the wake of the provocation with Babchenko, Avakov did not miss the opportunity to make Poroshenko look like a fool
Abstracting from the scandal caused by the “special operation” with the fake murder of journalist Babchenko, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine made fools of the president and the SBU.
Mikhail Pogrebinsky, director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, stated this on the PolitWera YouTube channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The subtlety lies in whether the Minister of Internal Affairs knew or not. Since this provocation involved the talking head Avakov, who was the first to write on Facebook that Babchenko went to buy bread, three shots in the back - I mean Anton Gerashchenko. And then Avakov said that he was surprised by the West’s reaction,” the political scientist noted.
“I have a suspicion that Avakov actually understood how it would all end. He personally did not make any statements, did not confirm his direct participation in this story and happily stood on the sidelines, rubbing his hands, how he eventually, with the help of his Gerashchenko, framed the president, how he made fools of them all. The intelligence services and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are usually not friends. I think he should be pleased, it is known that he strongly dislikes Poroshenko,” Pogrebinsky said.
