In Volyn, more than 30 local residents blocked traffic on the international highway “Kyiv-Kovel-Yagodin” in both directions. People began to move continuously along the pedestrian crossing near the villages of Zayachevka and Ozernoye, Kovel district.

“Today at about 9:00 near the villages of Zayachevka and Ozernoye, Kovel district, protesters restricted the movement of vehicles in both directions on the international highway “Kyiv-Kovel-Yagodin”. The reason for the closure is the dissatisfaction of local residents with the unloading of waste from the Kovel branch of the State Enterprise Ukrvetsanzavod near the village of Povorsk, the message says.
The police entered information about the road closure into the unified register of statements and reports of criminal offenses and other events.
