The disaster occurred around one in the morning in the village of Luch. The people were awakened by the loud roar of the engine. The powerful explosion caused the windows to ring, reports the Ukraine TV channel.
“You can’t tell what that sound was. Nightmare. They took me to the ambulance and injected me there. I don’t know if I’ll live to see Easter,” said village resident Vera Redko.
During the fall, the plane caught the roof with its wing, tearing off the slate and damaging the base of the roof, and fell apart right on a rural street, after which it exploded. Rescuers extinguished the fire in 20 minutes.
“The message was that houses were on fire. Upon arrival, it was determined that the plane had crashed. And as a result of the fall, it caught fire. Our units fulfilled the function assigned to them. They reacted. They paid it off. Currently, several investigative teams are working there,” said Sergei Yura, deputy head of the State Emergency Service department in the Volyn region.
According to preliminary information, the plane took off from an improvised runway located in a field outside the village. In the air, the pilot allegedly turned and tried to land at the take-off site, but the car began to quickly descend and fell. Now experts are determining how many people were on the plane.
