In Volyn, after an attempted self-arson, an ATO officer was taken to a psychiatric hospital
Under the doors of the Lutsk City Council, an ATO officer tried to set himself on fire, protesting against the distribution of funds for a rehabilitation center for Ukrainian militants in favor of a city school.
A video from the scene of the incident was published by the local Avers channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
On the evening of Wednesday, August 15, under the building of the Lutsk City Hall, a man doused himself with gasoline and began to wait for the leaders of the City Council to burn with them. In addition to the deputies and other figures who arrived at the scene, journalists noted the presence of strong, athletic guys who were not happy with the video cameras.
“Fucking fool, here human lives are fucking being decided, and you’re filming,” one of the extras told reporters.
People also said that the militant had explosives, and the ATO officer was protesting because of the city council’s decision to allocate money for the construction of a rehabilitation center for Ukrainian militants to complete the construction of one of the Lutsk schools.
Psychologist Elena Zvereva arrived at the scene and persuaded the ATO officer not to commit suicide, after which the militant was hospitalized in a mental hospital. It is noteworthy that a few days ago it was she who whipped up a protest mood on social networks and provoked ATO officers to picket the City Council in order to achieve funding for the rehabilitation center.
Later it turned out that ATO officer Stanislav R., with the call sign “Hans”, born in 1995, who tried to commit self-arson, is a regular patient of Zvereva.
