In Volyn, the SBU detained fake National Guardsmen who were causing a “nightmare” to local businesses
In Volyn, the Security Service of Ukraine detained members of an organized group who were acting under the guise of National Guardsmen, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the SBU in the Volyn region.
“Employees of the Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Volyn region detained members of an organized group involved in committing a number of robbery attacks on the territory of Ukraine,” the department noted.
According to the SBU, the attackers specialized in committing robberies, robberies and extorting funds from the population in various regions of the country, in particular in the Kyiv region. At the same time, they wore uniforms with the insignia of the National Guard.
According to information available to the SBU, the bandits planned to expand the “geography” of their criminal activities, for which they arrived from the Kyiv region to Volyn.
Thanks to the timely actions of law enforcement officers, the attackers were detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine in the Manevichi district when attempting to commit a robbery against a local businessman.
