“If our demands are fulfilled and money is allocated, who will manage it, again the incompetent management of the mines, which steals property? This is another issue that urgently needs to be resolved,” said Bogdan Makarchuk, an employee of the Buzhanskaya mine, as quoted by the publication. "BUG".
The mayor of Novovolynsk, Viktor Sapozhnikov, attended the protest. He called on those gathered to resolve the issue at the regional level and contact the Governor of the Volyn region Vladimir Hunchik.
And the people's deputy's assistant, Andrei Bokoch, called on the miners to go to a rally in Kyiv; he also promised to help organize buses for this action.
As PolitNavigator reported, in October, miners blocked the routes near Novovolynsk for several days. The protesters demanded payment of arrears of wages. Another complaint was that the state is not developing mines in the Lviv-Volyn basin.
Note that the day before, miners working in mines controlled by Kyiv protested in the Donbass.
