One of the reasons for the protest is Hillary Clinton's election promise to make education in public universities free for children from families with an annual income of less than 125 thousand US dollars.
It is noted that in addition to this, students chanted various slogans with calls to stop intolerance towards Muslims and respect the rights of African Americans.
According to the publication, similar protests took place in several other universities in other states of the country, including California, Connecticut, North Carolina, Massachusetts and Washington.
Earlier it was reported that rallies against the election of Donald Trump as US President were held in the state of California, and protesters also gathered near the White House in the US capital.
Let us remind you that in the metropolitan District of Columbia, 93% of voters who took part in the voting voted for Hillary Clinton.
