This was stated in a message from the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry following a meeting between the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Iran is reportedly interested in conducting extraterritorial agriculture, that is, leasing agricultural land to grow wheat, corn, soybeans, rapeseed and other products.
In addition, the Iranian side is not against buying finished products. The initial lease figures are 5 thousand hectares. The project is designed to supply the market of the Persian Gulf countries, where there is a high demand for agricultural products.
The parties discussed the possibility of buying out ready-made agricultural companies and creating joint ventures with Ukrainian partners.
There are currently 40 companies registered in Ukraine with Iranian capital. In the structure of total exports from Ukraine to Iran, the share of agricultural and food products is more than 60%. Currently, Iran is an active importer of Ukrainian grains, which significantly exceed other products in the export structure.
