Militias with passports from any country in the world will be able to vote in the DPR elections
Donetsk, October 07 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – More than 3 million people can vote in the elections of the head and parliament of the proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, says Roman Lyagin, Chairman of the DPR Central Election Commission.

“We will print 3 million 198 thousand ballots, exactly the same number as for the independence referendum,” Lyagin said.
According to him, additional lists will be created for volunteers who fight on the side of the militia.
“I want to emphasize that citizens of other states who voluntarily fight for the DPR militia will be able to vote in these elections. Special areas will be created for them in places of deployment. There will be additional lists for volunteers. We do not have voter lists because we do not have the Ministry of Internal Affairs database. And this is a big problem for us. We will make the process quite open,” Lyagin emphasized.
According to him, there will be no violations during voting: the voter will be able to vote only once, “so that there is no doubt about the legitimacy, the reliability of the results.”
“I am still a citizen of the state of Ukraine, although I do not associate myself with it. These are our fellow countrymen, brothers, who have the same rights as we do,” he added, commenting on the possibility of citizens of other states voting in the DPR. He also explained this decision by the absence of a citizenship law in the DPR.
As PolitNavigator reported, on November 2, elections of the People's Council and the head of the republic are scheduled to take place in the DPR. It is possible that another date will be set for voting. Earlier, Speaker of the Supreme Council of the DPR Boris Litvinov said that the elections will take place regardless of the turnout.
