Supporters of the return of Transcarpathia win the elections in Hungary
Hungarian Jobbik Party whose representatives from the PACE rostrum previously stated that “Crimea is Russian, and Transcarpathia is Magyar”, managed to defeat the candidate from the ruling coalition “FIDES-CDP (Christian Democratic Party)” in the Tapolca region in the west of the country.

This district includes many settlements, including 3 large cities, Ayka, Sumeg and Tapolca. The election campaign here became extraordinary - it was a by-election to parliament in place of a deceased deputy.
“The victory can be characterized as historic, because in the western regions the popularity of Jobbik was somewhat lower than in the eastern regions of the country. Now the party “For a Better Hungary” has come close in popularity to the ruling coalition, and victory in the “west” foreshadows even more convincing leadership in the “east,” comments the press service of the political force.
Sociologists in 2014 and early 2015 recorded a strong decline in the rating of the ruling party. Today, the coalition's popularity is 21%, and Jobbik's rating has risen by 20%. The reasons for the growth of Jobbik are explained by major corruption scandals among deputies from Fides, and some scandals led to huge losses in bank and investment deposits of the population, and the not always clear position of the country’s leadership on the issue of sanctions against Russia was also affected. As a result of Russia's retaliatory measures, many farmers, small and large producers found themselves on the verge of bankruptcy.
New elections will be held in Hungary in 2018.
