Sevastopol was pointedly ignored at the Yalta Forum
For the first time in three years of the international business forum in Yalta, high-ranking guests from Moscow came here. These are Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko and Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak.

Moscow VIPs were accompanied everywhere by the head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov. He showed them an exhibition of investment projects, and then spoke at the plenary session, which was opened by Kiriyenko and Kozak.
Against this background, the removal of the acting governor of Sevastopol, Dmitry Ovsyannikov, from participation in the events was especially noticeable. When the guests viewed the exhibition, he stood in the hall (note that Sevastopol presented the only project at the exhibition).
At the plenary meeting, the leader of Sevastopol was not only not invited to speak, but was not even mentioned. And Ovsyannikov sat in the corner of the hall opposite to where Kiriyenko and Kozak were seated (initially Aksenov also sat there, but then moved to the presidium).
“Despite the high representation of the federal authorities, business is not directly represented at the forum. Entrepreneurs are busy surviving and are desperate to find help from officials. This applies to all of Crimea, but especially to Sevastopol. The weak governor was unable to build teamwork and adequately represent the region at the forum,” Oleg Nikolaev, chairman of the Sevastopol branch of Business Russia, expressed this opinion to PolitNavigator.
