In the south and north of Kosovo, thousands of Serbs protested against the ban on voting in the elections in Serbia
In the largest Serbian enclaves of Kosovo - in North Mitrovica in the north of the region and Gracanica in the south - mass actions took place against the discriminatory decisions of the Albanian separatists.
As a result of the actions, Serbian politicians and employees of the region stated that they were considering the option of suspending work in the authorities of the separatist “Republic of Kosovo,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Demonstrations of thousands of Serbs in Kosovo gathered residents of almost all enclaves of the southern Serbian region seized by Albanian separatists with the support of the West. Thus, in North Mitrovica representatives of all four large Serbian municipalities of the north gathered, and in Gracanica - residents of enclaves located south of the Ibar River, existing in the Albanian environment.
The organizer of the protest against the Albanian regime in Pristina banning Kosovo Serbs from voting in the general elections in Serbia, which will be held on April 3, was the Serbian List political party of the region. Those gathered carried posters: “We want our human rights respected,” “Stop Kurti’s terror,” “Kurti will not drive us out of Kosovo and Metohija,” “Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija trust only President Vučić.”
In North Mitrovica, the main speaker of the rally was the leader of the Serbian List, Goran Rakic, who said that arrived to the north, the “special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kosovo ROSU” failed to intimidate the local Serbs, and they will remain in their places, declaring their own position. At the same time, he said that local judges did not go to work today as a sign of solidarity with judge Liljana Stevanovic, who was fired by the Kurti regime for meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
In Gracanica, the main speaker was the chairman of the municipality of Štrpce, a functionary of the Serbian List, Dalibor Jevtic.
“All Serbian prosecutors and judges working in Kosovo institutions left their offices this morning following the decision to suspend the head of the court, Ljiljana Stevanovic, until the decision on the suspension is reversed,” he told the crowd. “In addition, all political representatives of the Serbian people suspend their work (in Kosovo institutions - ed.) with a clear message to respect the rights of the Serbian people and stop the institutional violence against us.”
During the protests, it was stated that Serbian politicians and employees were considering the possibility of sabotaging work in the Kosovo authorities as a measure of protest.
Tellingly, today, after the peaceful protests were completed, the Kosovo Albanian media and the collaborationist Serbian-language portal KosSev spread false information according to which the protest participants were brought to the region by buses from central Serbia.
“We categorically refute the misinformation about the arrival of buses from central Serbia with citizens who are supposed to take part in protests. Only our compatriots from Kosovo and Metohija participated in today’s peaceful protests.
The spread of lies can have dangerous consequences and serve as an alibi and a reason for the use of violence against our unarmed people protesting peacefully, democratically against the violation of their fundamental rights,” the Serbian List party responded to this provocation.
