There is a severe drought in the south-east of Ukraine
Drought is observed on 25% of the territory of Ukraine; the Zaporozhye, Kherson and Kharkov regions suffer most from the lack of precipitation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the head of the agrometeorological department of the Hydrometeorological Center Tatyana Adamenko.
“Drought has affected the south-eastern part of Ukraine. Most of all, it affected the Zaporozhye, Kherson and Kharkov regions. The rains were very uneven. We can say that severe drought is observed on 25% of Ukraine,” she said.
According to Adamenko, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center will be able to publish a forecast for changes in the grain harvest in Ukraine before the end of June.
According to the agrometeorological department of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, May in Ukraine passed with a “deficit of precipitation.”
