Gas pipeline damaged again in Crimea
In the village of Koreiz on the southern coast of Crimea, a gas pipeline was damaged at night. The accident occurred in the area of the former boiler house, leaving about 500 subscribers without gas supply, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Local residents report that at first they heard a loud bang, and then a roar from gas escaping under pressure. In addition, it caught fire, and the torch was visible from afar.
The emergency services arrived and blocked the pipe; repairs will continue until the end of the day. The causes of the accident are not reported; eyewitnesses report damage to the gas valve.
Attempts to spread information on social networks about a drone that rammed a gas pipeline cause laughter - no sound of approach, no traces of the UAV were found at the site.
In 2021, on the eve of the so-called On the “Independence Day of Ukraine” in Crimea, in the village of Perevalnoye near Simferopol, sabotage was carried out to blow up a gas pipeline leading to a Russian military unit.
Then the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that members of the organization “Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People”, banned in the Russian Federation, participated in organizing the explosion.
The FSB clarified that the sabotage was organized by a unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. Soon residents of the Republic of Crimea were detained - the intermediary - deputy chairman of the Mejlis Nariman Dzhelyalov, the direct perpetrators of the sabotage Asan and Aziz Akhtemov.
